Rescue story
Berry came from Peaceful Pastures, the rescue that has mentored us since the beginning. When they needed to move a group of jacks, those donkeys came here. Berry was number five in that count. People sometimes assume every rescue animal has a horror story behind it. A lot of them do. But plenty arrive the way Berry did, passed between good people who were both doing their best with the room they had. He is gelded now and he has been here long enough that nobody thinks of him as new. He is just Berry, out in the main pasture, one of ours.
