Rescue story
Bourbon came here as one of nine, all from one home, all on one day. Their owner hit a major change in her life and knew she could no longer give nine donkeys what they needed. She did not wait for it to get bad. She surrendered every one of them to us together so the herd would stay whole. We have a lot of respect for people who make that call. It looks like giving up and it is the opposite. Bourbon is a mini in the main pasture and most of the nine are still right there with her.
Virtually adopted
Bourbon is looked after with the help of Kimberly, whose monthly support pays for feed, feet and vet care.
