Rescue story
Fonzy was a mess when we got him. His hooves were in terrible shape, the kind that come from years of nobody looking. He was carrying a heavy matted coat he could not shed on his own. And he was scared of everything, which is what happens when nothing good has come from a person in a long time. We rescued him, but Melissa started his healing before we ever brought him home. She took him into quarantine and did the first hard stretch of the work, the unglamorous part that nobody posts about. By the time he came to us he had already been given a running start. He is named for her place. Today he is a happy lovebug. Not cautiously friendly, not coming around slowly. A lovebug. If you saw him now you would not believe the animal we started with.
Virtually adopted
Fonzy is looked after with the help of Darlene, whose monthly support pays for feed, feet and vet care.
