Rescue story
Iris came to us as a mother. That is the one thing our notes are sure of. She had a foal with her or she had recently had one, and somebody made a point of writing it down so she would not get separated from whoever belonged to her. Beyond that, nothing. No origin, no age, no record of where she had been or how many she had raised before. She is a standard donkey in the main pasture, named for a flower like several who came in around her. Whatever she did before she got here, she did it without anybody keeping track. She does not have to do that anymore.
Virtually adopted
Iris is looked after with the help of Dawn, whose monthly support pays for feed, feet and vet care.
