Rescue story
Maddie arrived with her name already on her. Like Zack, she is one of the few who came to us that way. Most of them turn up as a description in a notebook and we work out something better later. She was Maddie from the first day and she has been Maddie ever since. Somebody chose that. Before us, there was a person who looked at this donkey and picked a name out for her. We have no idea who, and we have no idea what went wrong afterward, but for a while she was not just an animal in a field. She is a standard donkey in the main pasture, and she kept the one thing she brought with her.

Maddie is looked after with the help of Susan65, whose monthly support pays for feed, feet and vet care.
