Rescue story
Magnolia arrived in a group, and when she got here we could not have told you a single thing about her. Not her age, not where she had been, not whether anybody had ever been kind to her. Donkeys do not arrive with paperwork. They arrive with whatever they are carrying, and most of what they are carrying does not translate. So we gave her a name that sounds like the South and put her out in the main pasture, and we let her get on with it. She has been here long enough now that nobody thinks of her as one of the new ones. That is its own kind of history, even if it is not the kind you can look up.
Virtually adopted
Magnolia is looked after with the help of Christy Turner, whose monthly support pays for feed, feet and vet care.
