Rescue story

We do not know Rusty's story. He came to us without a history, and whoever had him before did not send one along. Around the barn he has always been Old Man. He had some years on him when he got here, and there is no telling how they were spent or who he spent them with. So we cannot tell you about his past. We can only tell you about now. He has good grass and clean water and shade when it is hot. He has people who know his name and a herd that knows him too. Nobody is asking anything of him anymore. Whatever the first part of his life was, it is over, and he gets to be an old man in peace.
