Rescue story
Spartacus was an Amish workhorse. He is blind, and they worked him anyway. Sit with that one for a second. A horse who cannot see, put in harness and asked to pull, day after day, trusting his feet and his ears and whoever was holding the lines because he had no other choice. He is a Belgian draft and a gentle giant, and he has every reason not to be. He is anyway. He came here with Jojo, who is blind too, and the pair of them are inseparable. Saricka has since joined them and made it three. They keep track of each other by sound and by habit and they do not lose one another. He does not have to pull anything ever again.
Virtually adopted
Spartacus is looked after with the help of Susan, whose monthly support pays for feed, feet and vet care.
